Here's where you can find support

For Distance or Flexible Learning Students at the Norwich College:

Your Personal Advisor is there to provide advice and support while keeping an eye on your academic progress. You can bring any concerns to your Personal Advisor’s attention, whether they are related to life in UK or academic matters. The Student Services Team operates an open-door policy to offer advice and guidance on practical issues such as housing, healthcare, immigration, or finances. There is Students’ Union Welfare Officer who run campaigns and workshops throughout the year and are available to address your concerns.

“Involve those closest to you. Let them know if you’re finding things difficult. Activate your social support network. It can often be a significant relief and a valuable source of assistance and solace.”

We strongly encourage you to stay in touch with the people in your life who care about you, whether it’s family, friends, or someone you trust. If there are moments during your university experience when you feel distressed, down, unwell, or overwhelmed, don’t hesitate to confide in those who care about you. Let them know if you’re going through a tough time and activate your social support network. It can often be a great relief and a powerful source of assistance and comfort.
